Ahn’Qiraj already opened in WoW Classic

One of the steps needed to open Ahn'Qiraj is to collect supplies. Both Horde and the Alliance had to collect hundreds of thousands of supplies to contribute to the war effort. You can transport them to the war base. It's in the Alliance's Ironforge demilitary, for Horde, it's in the Valley of Spirits in Orgrimmar.
What is the Ahn’Qiraj war effort?
The war effort requires all players on each server to collect a large amount of material needed for the upcoming war and serve as a timeline for initiating the Ahn'Qiraj raids. Once a player has managed to gather all the necessary materials, a 10-hour battle would ensue and players with The Scepter of the Shifting Sands Icon The Scepter of the Shifting Sands would be able to obtain their Scarab Lord title and mount.
In this large-scale event, the most focused players collected Sceptre of Quicksand, while the rest of the server collected information that could help the war effort. When the Beetle Wall opened, countless qiraji creatures rushed toward the player, so the entire population of Azeroth had to prepare for the attack.
After the objectives of the war effort have been completed and someone has assembled the scepter, the final phase can begin: after the scarab gongs ring in front of Ahn’Qiraj, the ten-hour "war" begins, with the boss and a large number of corresponding garbage monsters coming out of the gate to confront the players of Silithus and the whole of Kalimdor.
