WoW Burning Crusade Classic Pre-patch Arrived

On this day, players also have to make a major decision about each character: push the character into Burning Crusade and all the shiny "new" content, or keep their character in what Blizzard now calls the "Classic Era", where the player version of World of Warcraft classic plays all the time. On the first login after the pre-patch, players will be prompted to decide whether to keep their character on their existing server, which will automatically convert to Burning Crusade, or to transfer their character to the WoW Classics-only server for free. Players cannot log in with their characters until they decide which version of the game they want to play. The Burning Crusade Classic pre-patch period is much shorter than many players were anticipating. Blizzard announced during its BlizzConline event earlier this year players would have the opportunity to level new characters, specifically new Blood Elf and Draenei characters, prior to the expansion's official launch.

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Classic is set to release June 1, but players can already get a taste of the Burning Crusade experience with the arrival of the expansion's pre-patch now, which includes two new playable races, item rebalancing, major class changes, and more. You should have more WoW classic TBC Gold to get ready.

Most players assumed this would be a four-week long pre-patch, as is often the case with most pre-patch's across WoW's numerous expansions over the years. But the Burning Crusade Classic pre-patch will only last two weeks, irking more than a few players who feel like they won't be able to find the 100+ hours it takes to level a character in the two week time limit. Players can still continue leveling once the expansion arrives on June 1, but they will be starting significantly behind players who are already level 60 and ready to go.

It's worth noting that the original Burning Crusade pre-repair process dates back to 2006 and lasted six weeks, but did not include the ability to upgrade Blood Elf and Draenei characters. This didn't happen until January 2007, when the extension was officially released. For players of the latest World of Warcraft expansion, Shadowlands is the first major content patch for the game, while Chains is currently being tested in the game's "Public Test Realm" with no official release date yet.

WoW Classic Burning Crusade will introduce a ton of new content to the game, from new dungeons, raids, zones, races, to massive changes around class balance. Burning Crusade raids are also some of WoW's most legendary, including Karazhan, Black Temple, and Sunwell Plateau.

The idea for WoW Classic came from players who started their own private servers with older versions of the game. In April 2016, Blizzard began shutting down these unauthorized servers, causing a backlash from the fanbase, but it did spur the developer to look for a proper solution.

When the original game was released, the game was praised for the interaction between players. World of Warcraft players have to choose whether they want to join the Alliance or the Horde. It's not easy to level up, defeat the dungeon leader and fight the other side, and this quickly builds a strong bond between players.
